Dealers report that production capacity at Minelab’s Australian and Malaysian plants has been partly diverted to the newer GPZ 8000, leaving the GOLD MONSTER 2000 undersupplied. In China, pre-orders have been queue-based for about six months; as of Aug 2026, domestic allocation is further limited and new orders for the GM 2000 have been suspended, with delivery only proceeding for earlier deposit holders. In Australia, the model sold out nationwide within weeks of release in late 2025, driven by a gold-rush rebound on record-high gold prices.
